"To empower teenagers to young adults to take control of their financial future by providing accessible, and practical resources that foster financial literacy, promote informed decision-making, and inspire confidence in managing their money.
Empowering Students
Ever since I was a young boy, I have wanted to know how some people were able to afford expensive cars and lifestyles. How do they earn so much money? By the time I was entering high school, all the research I did on this question only led me to one answer: It is not about how much money you make, but how much you keep.

Inspired by this idea that financial freedom comes from a mindset rather than a dollar amount, I created Finances For Teens to educate teenagers on the crucial topic of personal finance that isn't taught in schools and inspire them to utilize their money so they will ever need more of it.
About Me
Hi! My name is Gavin Chang
I am Gavin Chang, a student at Walnut High School in Southern California. I am passionate about finances and how money works in the world around us. In my free time, I enjoy investing and playing soccer and golf. ​
Throughout my middle school and high school career, I have competed in several state-wide and nationwide investment competitions, including the Stock Market Game and Wharton Investment Competition. In addition, I have also competed in Future Business of America, a national business club, with a particular focus on finances and investment at the section, state, and national level. Throughout this journey, I have collected and documented all that I have learned to hopefully guide others along the same path I took toward financial literacy. I hope you enjoy it!
